Actually, on the same day (I didn't try to puzzle out times),
and exactly in the same pattern, long pseudo-words inserted
into pages. And the Gambit Wiki was still getting that
pattern as of this weekend.
Very strange; I can't imagine that someone is seeking out
obscure Scheme sites to do such trivial harm, or why someone
would scan the net for MediaWiki sites to do the same for
such a long period of time (it started 9/25)---as an initial
probe for a more elaborate scheme (so to speak) it might
make sense, but this one just baffles me.
Machiavelli advised never doing someone a small injury, not
that we're in a position to call down an orbital strike on
the machine in the PRC where this first came from, esp. since
it's probably just a compromised "cut-out" system.
The net has gotten "interesting" in ways I never foresaw, if
they'd scrawled "FORTRAN RULZ!" on our pages it would make
a *bit* of sense ^_^, but this....
